Last Spring we visited the Butchart Gardens in British Columbia, Canada. This is a beautiful place to visit for a day if you are in British Columbia, as it is only a 25 minute drive.
This was one of the main stops on our visit to Victoria, BC. My mother sang its praises after a previous trip so we decided to make the journey. The Butchart Gardens are 55 acres of gardens started when Jennie Butchart moved there in 1904. In addition to the extensive gardens, we rode the Rose Carousel and even had Afternoon Tea in the very house Jennie lived in.
